Our Fellowship’s mission statement asks us to “act on our UU Principles to improve our community locally and globally through social action and outreach.” Once a month, during the worship service, we take up a Special Collection for a local, national or international organization that exemplifies one or more UU Principles. UUFES members and friends suggest causes or organizations to be considered by the Community Support team, which coordinates this outreach. Special Collections recipients include: 2023 UU Service Committee PO 21: NH Helps Immigrants ReTreeUs White Mountain Community Health Center 2022 UU Service Committee PO 21: NH Helps Immigrants Waypoint World Central Kitchen Bearcamp Center for Sustainable Community White Mountains Pride Women’s Reproductive Rights Assistance Project (WRRAP) White Mountain Community Health Center End 68 Hours of Hunger CROP Hunger Walk Tamworth Community Christmas Project Way Station 2021 Black Lives Manchester UU Service Committee Heifer International ReTreeUs NH Community Loan Fund White Mountains Pride Carroll County Adult Education White Mountain Community Health Center Minister’s Discretionary Fund CROP Hunger Walk Tamworth Community Christmas Project Way Station 2020-2021 White Mountains Pride NH Community Loan Fund ReTreeUS Heifer International UU Service Committee Black Lives Matter Manchester UUFES Minister’s Discretionary Fund Tamworth Community Christmas Project Church World Service CROP Walk New Hampshire Legal Assistance 2019-2020 Loon Preservation Committee Carroll County Adult Education The Way Station Tamworth Food Pantry Starting Point Minister’s Discretionary Fund End 68 Hours of Hunger Church World Service CROP Walk VisitingNurse Home Care & Hospice of Carroll County Unitarian Universalist Service Committee 2018-2019 Families in Transition – Hope House, Wolfeboro End 68 Hours of Hunger Minister’s Discretionary Fund CROP Hunger Walk Tamworth Community Christmas Project Ossipee Concerned Citizens Immigrant and Refugee Support Group Fund Save Ellis Island Unitarian Universalist Service Committee Tin Mountain Conservation Center Camp Scholarship Fund Starting Point Arts Council of Tamworth 2017-18 350.org Spaulding Youth Center MWV Habitat for Humanity Unitarian Universalist Service Committee New Hampshire Food Bank National Coalition for the Homeless Americans for the Arts Church World Services CROP Walk UUFES Minister’s Discretionary Fund Upper Saco Valley Land Trust American Friends Service Committee 2016-17 Snapdragon Children’s Theatre The Southern Poverty Law Center (criminal justice reform, LGBT rights, fights discrimination) The White Helmets (volunteer rescue in Syria) The Gibson Center (local supportservices for seniors) Partners in Health (earthquake relief in Haiti) Crop Walks (community events to end world hunger) Rebuilding Together (Washington, DC) New Hampshire Women’s Foundation 2015-16 Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights Laconia and Ossipee Animal Shelters Friends of the Earth Hospice Volunteer Education Fund Guest at our Table Ossipee Children’s Fund UUSC Refugee Crisis African Educational Fund iCivics
